another goodie from Benefit

April 21st, 2008

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  Benefit cosmetics are just plain cool  I got a sneek peek from the Benefit team of some new products from their new collection that has a specific wedding theme…can you say cream shadows with names like “Marry Up” and “pre-nup”…silky lipsticks with names like “bouquet drive” and “I do. I do.  I do.”  I think these might be just too perfect!

Introducing the Chip’s Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile, June 20th, 2008

On Friday night, June 20, lululemon founder Chip Wilson will be hosting the 1st annual 1 mile run, walk, or parade up 10th Avenue hill (from Alma to Blanca). The goal is to raise money for BC Children’s Hospital and have a party!

Run in a wedding theme (bridal or bridesmaid) Run in your underwear Kids ½ mile run Co workers run in the corporate challenge Or we’ll give you a timing chip and see how fast you can get up the hill The goal is to get people to participate, and join in on the festivities. The more people who run, the more money is raised for BC Children’s Hospital. All registration fees and donations will be matched by Chip personally, and ALL proceeds go to the hospital. Every penny!

Bonus: The Bahamas Tourism Office will draw two winners from The Bahamas Bridal Dash wave. Each will win a trip for 2 (airfare, accommodations and island excursions) valued at $10, 000!!

That’s right, only entrants in that wave! Jack FM will announce the winners LIVE that night. So, put that old wedding dress or bridesmaids dress to good use, or just wear anything wedding related (bow tie, garter belt, run with a bouquet). Run in the Bahamas Bridal Dash, get revenge on those friends who tried to embarrass YOU on their big day.

You always knew that you’d dust off those pastel infused, lace covered nightmares one day. Here’s your chance to do the unspeakable, and repeat that puffy number. All for a great cause… and a great reward.

And men are no exception, if you’d like to put on your wife’s best gown, and partake, you can be a winner too.
